Discover the Beauty Behind Every Diamond

At Women by Ramya Diamonds, we believe that buying diamond jewellery should be an informed and enjoyable experience. Whether you’re purchasing your first diamond or adding to your collection, understanding what makes a diamond beautiful will help you choose with confidence

The 4Cs of Diamond Quality

The internationally recognized standard for evaluating diamonds is known as the 4Cs:

Cut – The Sparkle

Cut is the most important factor affecting a diamond’s brilliance. A well-cut diamond reflects light beautifully, creating exceptional sparkle and fire.

Cut Grades:

  • Excellent
  • Very Good
  • Good
  • Fair
  • Poor

At Women by Ramya Diamonds, we prioritize well-cut diamonds to ensure maximum brilliance.

Colour – The Whiter, the Better

Diamond colour refers to the absence of colour. The less colour a diamond has, the rarer and more valuable it generally is.

Diamond Colour Scale:

  • D–F: Colourless
  • G–J: Near Colourless
  • K–M: Faint Colour
  • N–Z: Visible Colour

We primarily offer diamonds in premium colour grades to deliver exceptional beauty and value.

Clarity – Nature's Signature

Clarity measures the presence of natural internal characteristics (inclusions) and external characteristics (blemishes).

Clarity Grades:

  • FL – Flawless
  • IF – Internally Flawless
  • VVS1–VVS2 – Very, Very Slightly Included
  • VS1–VS2 – Very Slightly Included
  • SI1–SI2 – Slightly Included
  • I1–I3 – Included

Our collection features carefully selected diamonds with excellent clarity, offering outstanding sparkle and appearance.

Carat – The Weight

Carat measures the weight of a diamond, not its size.

Common diamond weights include:

  • 0.10 ct
  • 0.25 ct
  • 0.50 ct
  • 1.00 ct
  • 2.00 ct and above

A well-cut smaller diamond can often appear more brilliant than a larger diamond with an inferior cut.

Diamond Shapes

Every shape has its own personality and style.

Popular diamond shapes include:

  • Round Brilliant
  • Oval
  • Princess
  • Cushion
  • Emerald
  • Pear
  • Marquise
  • Radiant
  • Heart
  • Asscher

Each shape offers a unique look while maintaining exceptional brilliance

Natural Diamonds vs Lab-Grown Diamonds

Natural Diamonds

Natural diamonds are formed deep within the Earth over billions of years through intense heat and pressure.

Benefits

  • Naturally formed
  • Unique geological origin
  • Timeless luxury
  • Suitable for heirloom jewellery

Lab-Grown Diamonds

Lab-grown diamonds are created using advanced technology that replicates the natural diamond-growing process.

They have the same:

  • Chemical composition
  • Physical properties
  • Optical brilliance
  • Hardness

Benefits

  • More affordable
  • Environmentally conscious choice
  • Identical sparkle and beauty

Excellent value

Diamond Certification

Certification provides independent verification of a diamond’s quality.

Depending on the product, diamonds may be accompanied by certificates from recognized grading laboratories, where applicable.

Certification provides confidence in:

  • Carat Weight
  • Colour Grade
  • Clarity Grade
  • Cut Grade
