AML Policy

Purpose
Women by Ramya Diamonds is committed to conducting business ethically and responsibly while complying with all applicable Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF), and sanctions laws and regulations.
This policy is designed to prevent our business, products, or services from being used for money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, or other financial crimes
Scope
This policy applies to:
- All customers
- Business customers
- Suppliers and vendors
- Authorized representatives
- Employees and contractors
- Online, offline, and international transactions
Customer Due Diligence (CDD)
We may perform Customer Due Diligence (CDD) before accepting or processing certain transactions.
Verification may include:
- Customer identity verification
- Address verification
- PAN or other government-issued identification where appropriate
- Verification of business registration for corporate customers
- Verification of authorized representatives
- Additional documentation for high-value or higher-risk transactions
Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) may be conducted for customers or transactions presenting elevated risk.
Risk-Based Approach
Women by Ramya Diamonds applies a risk-based approach to identify and manage AML risks.
Factors considered include:
- Transaction value
- Payment method
- Geographic location
- Customer profile
- Unusual purchasing patterns
- International shipments
- Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), where applicable
Transaction Monitoring
We monitor transactions for indicators of suspicious activity, including but not limited to:
- Multiple high-value purchases without a clear business purpose
- Frequent order cancellations and refunds
- Use of multiple payment methods for a single transaction
- Requests to ship to unrelated third parties
- Inconsistent customer information
- Attempts to avoid verification requirements
Where appropriate, additional information may be requested before an order is processed.
Sanctions Compliance
Women by Ramya Diamonds reserves the right to refuse transactions involving individuals, entities, or jurisdictions subject to applicable sanctions or trade restrictions
Record Keeping
Customer verification records and transaction records will be maintained for the period required by applicable laws and our internal compliance policies
Employee Awareness
Relevant personnel involved in customer onboarding, payment processing, and order fulfilment are expected to follow this AML Policy and report any unusual or suspicious activity internally.
Reporting Suspicious Activity
Where required by applicable law, Women by Ramya Diamonds may report suspicious transactions to the appropriate regulatory or law enforcement authorities.
Refusal or Termination of Business
We reserve the right to decline, suspend, or terminate any transaction or customer relationship where:
- Required verification cannot be completed.
- False or misleading information is provided.
- Fraud or unlawful activity is suspected.
The transaction appears to violate applicable AML, CTF, or sanctions laws.
Data Protection
Information collected for AML and KYC purposes will be handled securely and used only for legitimate business, legal, and regulatory purposes, in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.
Policy Review
This policy may be reviewed and updated periodically to reflect changes in applicable laws, regulations, and business practices.
